Lady on the Street - New Orleans
What do the people of New Orleans have to say about their financial institution? Watch the video below to find out as all credit unions can learn something from their responses.
A big thanks to the Louisiana Credit Union League for having the CU Grow team out at the Annual Convention this past week. As always, shout out and share your comments below.

Kudoos to the PTP New Media team for another well done CU on the street video. Something all credit unions should consider doing to get a real perspective on the community they are trying to reach and seeking to serve.
Janine McBeeThx for the note Janine! Going out and talking to real people can help credit unions connect with their communities and members. Many times, we get trapped inside our little world and think everything is great from what we hear and read within the industry. However, when we step outside, we may be surprised by what we learn. It's all about connecting, creating, communicating and continuing.
James Robert LayBeautifully done video, but it is a wake-up call to our Louisiana credit unions. I plan to show it at every planning session I do for the rest of the year!
Susie FairThx for the note Susie. So glad you will be able to use this as a tool to help educate credit unions and how they can connect and build relationships within their communities. Keep rocking!
James Robert LayGreat Video! We are getting lots of good feedback about it from our credit unions. Our Member Service Consultants are already using the video during their planning session. We had a blast rocking out with y'all!! Looking forward to doing it again in the future!
Jill KitchensGreat video PTP - the respondent results are disappointing, but not surprising, which raises the question: How do we make ourselves look and feel different to those we hope to serve? And how can we make "credit union" a verb - "WHERE DO YOU CREDIT UNION?". Thanx PTP for another amazing video!!
Diane Ward@Jill - thanks so much for having us out. We had a blast rocking with you and so glad this video will be able to help credit unions out.
@Diane - thx for the note and good thoughts. The "bank vs. credit union" verb debate was actually featured in the first CU Grow Show "Cross Fire" segment. http://www.cugrow.com/cu_grow/cu-grow-show/
James Robert LayOMG! Huge props to PTP New Media! James - you are so right. It is so "easy" to sit behind our desks and forget that actually connecting with people face-to-face in our community to get their feedback and opinions will blow any survey monkey qualitative survey out of the water! Communication line between members and staff on a whole new level! It's all about being real and honest. Thnx for the inspiration as always!
Nicole AnguianoThx for the comment, kind words and sharing your thoughts Nicole. We always must be looking outwards and onward beyond the here and now.
James Robert LayThat one guy was hilarious. "A bank is where they give you credit." And he did not even have a bank account.
Chad Davis@chad - while funny.... it is kind of concerning that this is a thought of someone in the community. Yes... he did not have a bank account but credit unions are people helping people and serving the undeserved.
