Learning & Sharing Together - Positioning Forward

1 Janine Higher education inspires us to strive for the insights that yield intelligence and personal significance.  And here we are learning and sharing together – not about what we think we know, but mining for knowledge we don’t yet possess.  It’s this ambition that broadens the gap between you, your goals, and everyone else. This is your time.

Brian Solis, Engage! The Complete Guide for Brands and Businesses to Build, Cultivate, and Measure Success in the New Web

Yes! When I came across the above quote in Solis' book, I was compelled to share and reach out to others.  Only I would make one change...This is OUR time! As challenging as today may seem, collaborative and innovative opportunities abound.

Tools and applications are appearing faster than I can keep up with them. Yet, by connecting, sharing and reaching out to others, learning about and applying new concepts, processes and tools becomes much easier. Working together we can expand our knowledge and skills, creating a future full of promise.

The Credit Union Leaders Book Club group was created on LinkedIn to help encourage and challenge those on the journey. The goal is to further personal and professional development, getting books off the shelf, into our hearts and minds, searching for applications and value. Engage is the book we're currently reading.  Work for, provide products/services for, of just love credit unions and you’re welcome to join us.

What are you doing to grow and challenge what you know? How are you reaching out to connect and work with others as you grow and develop personal and professional skills? What difference(s) are you making as an employee, employer, friend? What innovative applications and processes are you bringing to your organization? How are you positioning yourself and your company forward?
